MEET OUR STAFF: NURSING & CLINICAL

Angela, LPN:
Angela has recently joined IIMC as an LPN . She has been in the Nursing field for nearly 20 years. Angela and her husband have lived on San Juan Island for 16 years. She is also a personal trainer and works at the Sheriff’s Office part time. When Angela is not working, she enjoys exercising and walking.


Becky, MA, Admin Assistant:
Becky has lived on San Juan Island for 9 years. She has worked at Inter Island Medical Center for 7 years as a Transcriptionist. Becky began working in the clinic a year ago as a Medical Assistant, and also serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Director of Clinical Services. She really enjoys working during the Urgent Care Clinic on Saturdays. Becky is currently attending Skagit Valley College working towards her Nursing Degree.


Cindy, RN:
Cindy has lived on San Juan Island since 1974. She has been an RN since 1989, and has worked at IIMC since 2001. Cindy enjoys working with Dr. Wingren. Her hobbies include boating, traveling, gardening, and curling up with a great book.


Claudia, RN:
Claudia is an “Artist in Waiting” (waiting for her next big break). She is married, with 4 cats, a dog, and 3 egg laying hens. She’s been in nursing for nearly 30 years.


Cynthia, RN:
Cynthia has lived on San Juan Island for 13 years. She’s been working at IIMC for 10 years. She is an RN and works as the Triage Nurse, as well as the Director of Clinical Services.


Dorie, RN:
Dorie became a full time employee at IIMC in January of 2005. Prior to that she worked in Public Health, Clinical Trials, Research, and Surgery. Dorie and her husband moved to San Juan Island with their three children in August of 2000. Her hobbies include gardening, knitting, walking, reading, and interior design.


Emily, Clinical Support, MA:
Emily has lived in Friday Harbor and has worked at IIMC since 2001. She enjoys working with patients and staff at the clinic, and also as an EMT with San Juan Island EMS. Emily currently coordinates the use of our Electronic Medical Records Program. She also works as a Medical Assistant. Emily is currently attending Skagit Valley College working towards her Nursing Degree.

 


Haria, MA:
Haria is a Medical Assistant at IIMC. She started in June of 2006. Haria is very passionate about patient care and enjoys making them feel comfortable and confidant whenever they come into the clinic.


Joanne E, RN:
Joanne has been a nurse for over 30 years, 10 years in OB and 20 years as an Emergency Room Nurse. For 2 years now she has been manning the IIMC Triage Desk and Urgent Care side of the clinic. When she’s not at work, she enjoys knitting, gardening, hiking, and kayaking.


Joanne R, RN:
Joanne has been a nurse for over 15 years. Before nursing she worked as a dental hygienist for 15 years. When she moved here in 2000, she worked as the Director of Nursing at Islands Convalescent Center. She’s been with us at IIMC for 2 ½ years. In her time off she enjoys scrapbooking, knitting, Ale House Trivia, and spending time with her four grandchildren.


Jon, Lab:
Jon grew up in Skagit County, but didn’t move to the island until 2006. He moved here from Portland, Oregon, where he worked for 17 years as a Paramedic. He started in hospital work in 1986.


Katie, Lab:
Katie has a certification in Phlebotomy from ASCP and is currently working on studies to further her certification to a Medical Lab Technician. She really enjoys living and working in such a great community!


Rosalie, RN:
Rosalie has worked as a nurse at IIMC since 1984. In the past 24 years she has hung on through the many changes. She also has worked as a Home Health Nurse for 25 years. These two positions have given her unique exposure to island life and she’s loved every minute of it! Rosalie raised her children on the island and looks forward to someday spending more playtime with her loving family and friends.
